Josh & Adriano

We’re a Melbourne-based couple. Adriano (on the left) is a Hospitality Executive and Josh runs a Design Business. We are friendly, responsible and reliable, and are looking for a landowner to rent from who is interested in our vision of smaller footprint, off-grid living.

We are working with Base Cabin – one of Australia’s finest Tiny House builders. They are currently building our House which is on track to be finished in November this year. We may consider renting it out in the future, but for now, it will be just for us and our friends/family.

Erofily, our ‘shed on wheels’ will be 8m x 2.4m x 4.3m high and clad in galvanised corrugated iron. She will be completely off-grid. More details are below.

What we’re looking for?

We’re seeking a rental location that’s around a 60 minute drive from Melbourne from November 2023. Here’s an overview of the features that would be great for our off-grid Tiny House:

  • Farm / rural / semi-open space / vineyard

  • An elevated position with views

  • North / North-easterly aspect for optimal solar panel function

  • A private and peaceful location away from traffic

  • Sturdy ground suitable for levelling if needed (we can cover the cost) with a 20mm gravel bed

  • 2WD access.

Our House is being built on a trailer. It will be registered as a caravan and towed to the parking site.

  • House dimensions: 8m x 2.5m x 3.4m(Height)

  • A lightweight deck will be connected to the Tiny House as shown

  • A 10,000L water tank will sit behind the House plus 2 x 45kg LPG bottles

  • A composting, self-contained toilet will be used

  • Grey water will be treated with a compliant grease trap and a greywater trench – to be installed on-site.
